Can you describe your photography style?

My photographs are filled with genuine laughter, honest emotion, and the people of your day.

I love to capture your wedding day details in what I call "people lead moments" Sure, a close up of your ring sitting on a flower petal in some pretty lighting looks nice, but the way your Grandfather holds your hand tightly is magical. Your dress will look lovely hanging in a window at your venue, but just imagine how stunning it will look as the fabric naturally hugs your body as you embrace your loved one.

On your wedding day I focus on capturing real, authentic, and honest moments.

I want to tell your story in an up close and personal kind of way. I spend the months leading up to your day learning more about who you are as a couple, about what makes you tick.

Then, on the day of your wedding it is like connecting with an old friend. We have so much fun exploring the beautiful areas of your venue, all while focusing on your natural connection with each other with simple and fun poses without a heavy emphasis on being stiff and standing still.

I encourage movement and laughter, embracing each other and lots of candid moments with your friends and family that you have invited to share your day with you.

I capture the big moments - walking down the aisle and the first kiss, but I also capture the little moments you may not even realize are happening as your day flies by in a whirlwind of love surrounded by your family and friends.

I seek out the emotions of the day, the quirky moments, the moments that will make you burst out laughing or take your breath away when you see them in a photograph.

How do we go about planning our day for photography?

I work with each couple from the moment they book until their wedding day to create the ideal timeline.

The more prepared we both are, the less you have to think about on your wedding day. We will discuss how you envision your day going and with my experience of the flow of a wedding day, we will create a timeline that works perfectly for your unique day.

Should we send you a shot list prior to our wedding?

Prior to your wedding, I will send you a detailed questionnaire to get an idea of the flow of your day.

Included are questions specifically about any special details or customs that you’d like me to be aware of, your favorite spots around your venue for bride and groom portraits, and specific family photo groupings you’d like captured during the family formals.

The majority of the remainder of the day will be photographed as it unfolds naturally rather than off of a shot list.

Do we need a second photographer?

I shoot weddings solo. I pride myself on being detail oriented and organized.

This is also where working together to create a timeline comes into play, this way I know ahead of time where each part of your day will be taking place and I can be sure to always be where all the action is happening. I know how to read a room and anticipate moments before they happen. I also bring an assistant with me to help with gear and lighting if necessary.

I always bring along multiple camera bodies with various lens focal lengths to capture your day up close and personal and also pulling back to capture the whole environment.

Will you still take family portraits on my wedding day, even though your style isn't traditional?

You bet! We will work together to figure out the specific groupings you would like to capture before your wedding day, and pick the perfect time within your timeline to do them.

Family portraits on your wedding day don't have to be stiff and awkward. They can be fun and enjoyable, and done efficiently so everyone can get back to the party!

Will we be able to print our photos without watermarks on them?

Yes! Your edited digital images will be delivered in a password protected gallery.

They'll be available in high resolution for printing, without watermarks. Along with images sized perfectly for social media sharing, without watermarks.

Our wedding venue requires liability insurance, do you have that?

Yes I do. I can provide your venue with my libability insurance if they require.

We want to book with you, how do we move forward?

Wha hoo! Just fill out my contact form to get the ball rolling. I will get back to you shortly.

We can schedule a phone chat or meet up over coffee so we can learn more about each other.

Once you’re ready to proceed with booking, I send you a proposal and contract to sign digitally, and you’ll make a deposit to secure your date on my calendar.
